Mid-South Tank consultants is a third party consulting firm that specializes in the inspection of water storage tanks and other steel structures. We provide inspection and evaluation services to help customers maintain and prolong the life of their tanks. We believe that this can be achieved by working closely with a Professional Engineer and performing thorough critical phase inspections during the painting of new tanks or rehabilitation of existing ones.
Since 1985 Mid-South Tank consultants has been providing consultations, inspections and construction oversight to help our customers evaluate, preserve and rehabilitate their assets. Although, we specialize in water storage tanks, we pride ourselves in ensuring we bring the right resources to every project, no matter the requirements. Preliminary Inspections
Preliminary Inspections are performed by NACE certified inspectors to determine the current condition of the tank, tank accessories and the existing protective coating. A comprehensive report is provided which includes:
Detailed measurements of the structure
Photographs of the interior and exterior surfaces
Coating Evaluation Summary
Life expectancy of the existing coating
Recommendations for re-coating and alternatives
Recommended Repairs
Budget Estimates
Adhesion Test Results
Technical Specification
High Pressure (4,000 PSI) wash out and sediment removal is performed to allow a more thorough inspection.
Interior and Exterior paint samples are taken for lead level testing as well.
ROV Inspections can be made when the tank can not be drained.
Critical Phase Inspections
Critical Phase Inspections are performed during painting projects to ensure the contractor performs quality work. These inspections are performed at various stages of the project as opposed to full time inspection. An inspection report is provided for each inspection. These reports include:
